Discussed money and we will now write a check to the “shopper” before they go shopping for the amount of $15.00 per person. This will be given to the shopper in a check form the Tuesday before the campout. They will be expected to shop within that budgeted amount. The person running the trip will collect the food money when the scouts are dropped off for the event. If you sign up and then do not attend the event you will still be expected to pay for any scout that signed up.
We also discussed asking the church if we could have space in the fridge for condiments. We also should take an inventory of items we have for the shopper and do a run to Costco if needed. Any volunteers
Parents and RSVP’s
Keep track of the calendar so you can advise your son and discuss with them what events they will be able to sign up for…we had an event recently that ten scouts signed up for and only four attended.

April 7, 2015
First off, thanks to those who attended tonight’s committee meeting. I know it’s a tough time with so much illness going around. So here’s what was discussed amongst those that were there.
· Keith Deyo came by to discuss the Gen Knox District Recognition on 5/18. We realized that many of our adult leadership are eligible for some of the awards (primarily the Scouters Training Award) to be distributed and we are going to put in the paperwork needed to recognize the work for these individuals. All who would like to attend the cost is $18 for the dinner and banquet.
· MBU this weekend. Right now we have 3 confirmed drivers. We may need more. Please be at the church for 7:45 for an 8:00 departure. Don’t forget, $7 for lunch. Get your work done!
· No meeting the 21st during school vacation. There is the campout at the Bowman’s club that weekend though. Planning will take place at next week’s meeting.
· We decided that Troop 114 may begin attending Eagle Boards as a Troop in support of our candidate. This will be at the discretion of the individual Scout. Who knows, maybe we’ll start a trend.
· Summer camp is coming up quickly. The dates are on the calendar. Please have a $50 and commitment to attend by the 4/28 meeting. Get working on you medical forms. Go online to the to the council camping website and see what’s available. http://www.wmascouting.org/camping/2015boyscoutsummercamp.html Mrs. Duval will be the camp coordinator this year. Brave woman!
· Tim Small and John Ponte are looking into alternate locations for NYLT training. We have not had “rave reviews” from our previous attendees for the local program so perhaps some out of council training is warranted. They are looking in the New Hampshire and Narragansett councils for their dates.
· Car wash at Village plaza on 4/18. Brandon will be running the event (hint, hint good way to raise money for Camp).
· Speaking of raising money, FW this Thursday at A&R. 5:00 I believe.
· Gray is working on a Troop website. We decided as a committee that we’ll put together a release form that parents can sign allowing pictures of them and their children to be used on our site. We also agreed that no last names would be posted of any of the youth associated with the Troop.
· John Ponte is going to contact the VFW to reserve their facility for our annual Troop picnic.
I am sure I have missed something. If so, please reply to all. Again, thanks to those who attended and get well to those under the weather.
Regards,
Dave Macwilliams
